Wear gloves to protect your hands from cuts and blisters. Inspect blades for sharpness, rust or damage before use. Use the right size secateur for the branch thickness (avoid forcing cuts). Keep fingers clear of the cutting blades while trimming. Lock the blades when not in use. Clean and dry after each use to prevent rust. Sharpen blades regularly for efficient and safe cutting.
